PROJECT OVERVIEW: CMP were contracted to carry out the dredging works and the placement of the caisson units, with all works being completed from floating plant.

WORKS DESCRIPTION:

• 9000 m3 of capital dredging
• Excavate trench and prepare engineered bed to within 75mm tolerance
• Transportation of pre-cast caisson units from Southampton to Cowes
• Installation of 14 No caisson units, weighing from 80 to 110 tonnes
• Backfilling of caissons using dredging arisings
• Underwater bolting of caissons utlising CMP's in-house divers
• Transportation & placement of pre-cast breakwater coping units
• Controlled partial demolition of existing slipway
