PROJECT OVERVIEW:This was CMP’s third contract in the last 5 years for Birse Coastal/Blackpool Council brining the overall values to approximately £2,500,00. This contract involved CMP installing two lines of sheet piles between South Pier and North Pier, 6km overall, to enable Birse Coastal to construct a new sea wall for Blackpool Council

WORKS DESCRIPTION:

• 6800T of 12-15m long rear wall sheet piles
• 1500T of 4.5m long toe beam piles
• All works done on the beach within a tidal environment
• Excavation of beach to finish the toe beam piles up to 4m below beach level
• Handling and distribution of sheet piles from storage yard out to the beach
• All works completed ahead of programme and with no incidents
