PROJECT OVERVIEW: CMP were contracted to install a 170m long 1200mm diameter outfall pipeleine including riser and diffuser.

WORKS DESCRIPTION:

  • Construct 1200 ton rock causeway approx 150 metres long
  • Drive sheet piled cofferdam approx 80m long and install bracing etc.
  • Excavate trench to a maximum depth 4.5 m within cofferdam and shoreside
  • Prepare engineered bed
  • Install 170 metre long by 1200 diameter MDPE pipeline including riser & diffuser, shutters and concrete 30 m3 diffuser anchor block
  • Break existing outfall pipe and reconnect the new.
  • Place pipe surround and backfill
  • Place 1000 ton of amour stone around the diffuser area
  • Extract sheet piled cofferdam
  • Remove existing CI outfall including all the support trestles
  • Remove rock causeway and reinstate the beach
