The skills and experience gained over the last 20 years from undertaking technically challenging projects, combined with our extensive range of specialist marine plant, have led CMP to become one of the UK's leading companies in the construction and refurbishment of leisure-based maritime structures.
Successfully completed pier projects have varied from the demolition of redundant or weather damaged piers, such as Shanklin Pier on the Isle of Wight, through to the extensive refurbishment of some of the country's most famous and historic piers, both timber and steel framed. The recent refurbishment of the fire-damaged Southend Pier, the world's longest leisure pier stretching 1.3 miles from shore, reflects CMP's commitment to client satisfaction and was completed on-time and to budget despite operatives facing winds of up 70mph, temperatures as low as -11ºC, and a tidal range in excess of 6.0m.
CMP are involved in all areas of marina design and construction, both for commercial and private developments across the UK. Past projects have included the design, construction, and maintenance of wavescreens, pontoons and rock armour, right through to the installation of complete marinas.
