PROJECT OVERVIEW: Taking place over four phases spanning sixteen years, CMP were contracted by a number of contractors to undertake numerous penstock works in the maximum-security naval base in Portsmouth. The works required CMP operatives to participate in extensive confined-space training programmes and involved fitting some of the largest penstocks in the UK.

WORKS DESCRIPTION:

• Design and installation of isolation dams
• Removal of damaged and corroded penstocks
• Installation of replacement penstocks including fabrication of customised shuttering
• Wellhead modifications
• Refurbishment of existing gates including the removal and replacement of gate seals
