CMP's wealth of expertise in all aspects of marine construction are well demonstrated by the wide-ranging scope of works undertaken in rivers and canals all over the UK within the last 20 years.
Traditional river and canal works undertaken by CMP include the replacement of bank protection with soft or hard landscaping for commercial developments, through to the refurbishment of weirs and historic quay walls below and above water as part of prestigious housing developments in London. These projects are often run in close collaboration with the Environment Agency and illustrate CMP's commitment to environmentally friendly working practices.
Additional river and canal works have included the fabrication and installation of substantial river-based structures, such as the 220 tonne steel fender fitted by CMP on the River Lea, through to one of the most extensive installations of concrete mattresses to act as river bed scour protection ever undertaken in the UK. |
