PROJECT: Shore Road Outfall

PROJECT OVERVIEW: CMP were contracted to repair, clean and reline a cast iron 1050mm diameter short sea outfall.

WORKS DESCRIPTION:

• Existing damaged pipe repaired by excavation through beach material and placing concrete patches
• Pipe cleaned from behind the shoreline using CMP designed internal winched bucket system and spoil taken to tip
• MDPE liner welded up on shore into a 600m length
• Liner towed out to sea and then winched back through entire length of outfall and sealed into manhole structure
